Ciao Torino

I got an invitation to a birthday party from our friend Dave to celebrate (his wife) our friend Denae’s birthday! I’m so happy I could go! I took a big bus all by my onesies to Torino, Italy and had such a fun weekend. Tonio took care of everything at home. Thank you my love. February 6-9, 2026

Did you know “ciao” can mean hello and good-bye? It’s like the French “salut.”

Early morning bus departure from Nice.

First picture I take after giving Dave and Denae a hug, of course. LOLA! I love her so much!

And I got to meet Lola’s half sister. She was equally as cute and lovable.

Reading at night in my own little cozy room.

Hooded Lola. She makes me laugh so hard.

Meanwhile, back in Nice, the kids went with Tonio to the beach. Look what they found!

Winter beaches are probably my favorite of all the seasons.

Facetime with my 3 favorite human beings!

The beautiful Denae and the city of Torino (also known as Turin) behind us.

Though a very big city, it feels “small” when walking around. The buildings aren’t all super tall, and I think that is a big factor to its small feeling.

Birthday dinner with friends!

So fun to go to Calvary Chapel Torino, where Dave is the pastor, and hear worship to Jesus in Italian!

Bus ride home.

What a great trip! Thanks so much Dave and Denae for your hospitality. I love being in your home. And I’m so happy to have met Becca finally! I thank the Lord for this trip that came after my depression dip in January. It was a gift from the Lord.
