Daphné and her buddies
Daphné really wanted to have some friends over to hang out and then go to the beach together. We finally made it happen, and I think Daphné would agree that it was a success. I loved it too, because it was fun like a birthday party, but much more relaxed.
Daphné showing her friends her desk under her bed.
We went in the residence garden for a bit to climb trees.
Coucou!
The day before, Daphné made a chocolate chip cookie cake, and she was so pleased to serve it to her friends. It was a hit! Starting with Daphné going clockwise : Daphné, Romy, Laureen, Alice and Lena.
Beach time.
Alice couldn’t stay for the beach part, otherwise, she would have been on the paddle board too.
Precious girls. I love that Daphné is such a good friend and chooses good friends.
Laureen and Daphné, the diehards. Look at how clear the water is!
I swam out with them. I’m on a little raft. Tonio took this picture. It was so sweet of him to come to help me with the paddle board.
Coming in for a break.
After a beach snack and changing back into their clothes.
Walking home along the promenade des Anglais. One of the moms that I sent this to said something along the lines that they are all so big.
And when we got home, they still had 15 minutes, so they started a craft workshop.
I’m so thankful for the community we have around us with school friends, school parents and church friends. Such a blessing. I keep being reminded that God made us for community to be with each other.
