Overnight camp out

Daphné wins the champion medal for this hike. The youngest of the group. She persevered hiking up 800m (2,624 ft) in one day. We had so much fun with her. We were thankful that Pierre and Nancy could watch Django while we enjoyed time with our oldest. Day 5 and 6 of our time in Plampinet.

(side note - it looks like Squarespace changed some things, and I don’t currently have the option to center the captions under the pictures. I hope it doesn’t change your reading experience.)

Ready, set, go!

And we're off.

Butterfly.

Wood robot.

Our lunch stop.

Tonio went with a group to hike a summit, while I stayed with Daphné.  What a view! ;)

Rocky path.

Such a trooper!

Our leader Guillaume let Daphné hitch a ride for a bit when the trail was quite steep.

These grassy paths are so stunning.

When the whole group met back together, we had a time of reflection led by Tonio.

So amazing to praise God in the middle of His gorgeous creation.

Professional girl.

Setting up the tent with Papa.  Can you believe that view?!!!

Everyone looking for a good spot to sleep.

Not too shabby for a temporary home.

Dinner time.

Good morning from the tent.  Daphné slept well.  Tonio and I were thankful she did. ;)

Me and Daphné are hanging out before getting dressed for the day.

Breakfast coffee and tea.

Thumbs up by Daphné.

I love this girl.

I love this guy.  That is the summit that Tonio hiked yesterday.

Snack and water stop on the way down.

Down is nice, but often feels long.  The views were absolutely breathtaking.

We are so thankful for this overnight hiking trip with our Daphodil. Definitely a core memory for all of us! Thank you God for making so many beautiful places and majestic things.

Love Linz
