Nerf guns and obstacle course
Let the party begin! Django’s 7th birthday party was a success thanks : to him just being a great kid excited about everything, to my amazing husband and his support, to his big sister and her love for organizing and planning, to our friend Caroline who is like their adopted auntie and to his friends Lorenzo and Mathieu.
Enjoy the party!
The invitation I made to invite his friends.
First challenge - Nerf gun shooting practice.
The three amigos.
Tonio added some fun to the challenge by being a moving target.
Next challenge - ball toss into bowls. Sound easier than it actually was.
Daphné was fetching the overshot balls, but she ended up taking some hits. Ha!
Lorenzo gave us another target on the other side of the glass. It was so cute to see him flinch.
The last challenge was an obstacle course I designed in the residence garden area. Lorenzo at the start.
Daphné gracefully jumping in the Olympic rings.
Then came the ring toss onto the sprinkler head. Go Lorenzo!
Go Mathieu!
And next was the noodle ball dribble.
They had to get the ball through the goal.
Go Daphné! As you can see Caroline was a great supporter!
Next up was popping a balloon whatever method you wanted. Django used the tree. Lorenzo squished it with his hands, and Mathieu jumped on it.
After a tour around the bush, the race back to the finish line!
Daphné was there for the supporting too.
And then Caroline encouraged her all the way to the finish line.
Getting ready for cake.
Sweaty kids. So thankful to have the air conditioning.
Looks like I'm singing "Happy", but it's actually "Anniversaire" from Joyeux anniversaire.
Blowing out his 7 candles.
Good job bud!
His friend know him. LEGO for the win! Merci Lorenzo!
Super Mario and LEGO! Merci Mathieu!
LEGO! And he never tires of it. Thank you Caroline!
Piñata time! Allez Jurassic Django!
Lorenzo locked on target.
No mercy Mathieu!
Delicate Daphné.
Collecting the loot.
Making exchanges.
Mathieu having fun on the other side of the Nerf war zone.
And that night Django got to open the rest of his gifts. This was from Cricri. If you know Star Wars, you know that this is iconic! The Millennium Falcon!!! He was giddy with joy!
And he's been asking for one of these for years. Mamie Nancy and Papi Pierre bought Django his very first drone! He is stoked! Thank you guys!
Stickers from Cricri which now decorate his bed.
What a day! Django had a BLAST, and that’s really all that matters. Again, we are so thankful for this boy that we get to call our son. We pray that one day he will grow into a man who is kind, strong, compassionate, funny, loving and a little wild! We love you Django Timothy. Cheers to 7 years! Keep making everyone laugh!
Love Mama
