7 year-old Django

Hiya! August 21, 2024. So, another kid completed another trip around the sun, and it always makes me so thankful. Thankful for their life, and thankful I that I have a teammate in Tonio to help raise this precious life. Django is 7, and I feel like that’s not real! How is he 7 already?!! This guy is such a joy, super courageous, a hilarious jokester and a cuddle king. We love you Django Timothy.

Enjoy some pictures from morning gifts and setting up for his birthday party.

Seven bucks from Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tim!

He can't wait to spend these next summer if we go to California!

A card from my Auntie Camille and cousin Tricia.  For the record, it's Django, not Jongo, but that's a very good phonetic French pronunciation. =)

A fun card from friends in Berlin, Germany.

Thanks so much Karen and Mark!

This has become his new favorite pajama shirt.  Tonio and I like that it's 8-bit and not minecraft.  Ha!

Tetris puzzle game.

A game we learned while in the mountains with our camping/hiking friends.

We played this with the cousins in Paris and loved it!

His love language - LEGO.

Monster truck.

Found this on my phone - haha!

Since Pierre and Nancy have air conditioning, they said we could do the party at their place.  It was delightful.  This is round two of minions birthday.  I love that he loves the minions so much.  If you remember, he had a minions party last year.

Getting cups ready for the guests.

Daphné gives the decorating committee two enthusiastic thumbs up.

We celebrate in two languages over here!

He's such a little handsome man.  He picked out his outfit all on his own.  So full of life and fun!

A hug from big sis.  She is such a great cheerleader!

Lining up the snack plates.  You can guess which ones disappeared quickly and which one never was fully emptied.

Django's request.  He wanted a chocolate chip cookie cake with marshmallows in the form of a 7.  His dream came to life.

This was just the calm before his two buddies and our friend Caroline came over. Summer birthdays are tricky in that most of his friends are usually on vacation, but he ended up having a blast and loving every moment. For that, I’m thankful. Thank you Jesus for being with us even in party planning.

Love Linz
