Romane and Tristan’s Wedding

Hello there, I’m here to share about yet another thing the French do so well…weddings!!! First of all, imagine the couple renting out a property with 2 villas surrounded by vineyards AND you get to stay a night in one of the villas! This property was gorgeous. If I hadn’t been doing a sound check, wrangling kids and goats (ha!), I may have taken more pictures.

Please enjoy this gorgeous slice of French countryside and the beautiful couple, Romane and Tristan.

Daphné was in heaven with the 3 domesticated goats that wondered the property.

She couldn't believe the goat was coming towards me.  After this picture, she couldn't NOT pet them all.  Can you see the other 2 in the background?

Good little goat.

My and my girl with the 4-legged lawn mowers behind us.

Since we were all dressed up, family photo attempt 1 of 6.  Django closed his eyes.

Not a bad one - 2 of 6.

I didn't really like this angle - 3 of 6.

The winner of the landscape shot on "portrait mode" - 4 of 6.

Good as well, but Django looked away - 5 of 6.

The winner of the portrait layout - 6 of 6.  Number 4 is my favorite of all them, though.  And a very special thank you to a sweet lady named Nathalie who was willing to help me accomplish my family picture dreams.  Haha!  Perhaps one day we will take legit photos again.  Our last professional ones are from 2018 when Django was still a wee babe.

Tonio took this of the worship team.  I played guitar and didn't sing, which was a first for me, and I actually had so much fun!  Tonio played cajon.  There was a keyboard player who led us all, a saxophone and 2 girl singers.

Praying for Romane and Tristan.  Tonio was invited up to stand with the other pastors.  I love when couples start their first few minutes as a married couple in prayer!

Tristan has been a part of our home group.  Tonio also baptized him and plays soccer with him.  He is a blessing to our church.

The exit.

Tristan showed us his ring!  I think Romane looks so much like my sister-in-law in Paris in this photo.

Beautiful couple.

We were thankful for this photo.  It's not always super easy to get a picture with the bride and groom.  Django must have been pretty hungry.  Ha!

Our friends Nathan, Julie, Éloïse and Maxime from church!

Cheers.  I love Tonio's face!

French weddings often have a brunch the next day, which is really cool.  You get another opportunity to see everyone.

And that’s a wrap. This wedding was Saturday, August 17, 2024. We are always thankful to be invited to a wedding. What an honor! Our kids were so well behaved too. You can’t see it here, but Daphné feel after that picture we got with the couple. She hurt her nose and lip, so they were pretty swollen. Thankfully, she is all better now. Next wedding is October 19, 2024 for Coralie and Maxime! We can’t wait!
