Trail ride with Daphné

Hello and welcome to another blog post! Back in February, my super thoughtful in-laws bought me a birthday gift certificate for a trail ride for two to redeem with my Daphodil. I scheduled our ride for a beautiful Saturday morning in April. Here are some pictures from our time.

Meet Jâcques our guide. He was really sweet and told us all about the area.

Daphné wasn’t feeling that great during the ride. Looking back, I wish I would have rescheduled, but she was such a trooper.

Our horses were both old gals that have done many a trail ride. They were both really sweet.

It turns out, she had Scarlet Fever. Poor thing pushed through. We did end the ride early, because she was so weak. We got home for her to rest, and she started antibiotics to get better.

Though it was a short ride, I was still sore. The last time I was on a horse was over 10 years ago!

Looking back, Daphné told me that she enjoyed it and would actually like to try it again when she is well. I love her and her brave little heart.

Thanks again Pierre and Nancy for this incredible gift! I love the idea of gifting experiences. And thank you God for making these majestic animals. Horses will always be my favorite animal!
