Parties, Piano, oPeration
See what I did there? Forced alliteration. Haha. The end of January was filled with parties, ponies, puppies, piano, prayer, playdough and an operation.
Playdough. Kids love it. Parents don’t. Haha! Thankfully, we have a robot vacuum that can clean up the dried treasures on the floor the next day.
Trampoline park birthday party. Daphné is stoked. Django is a bouncy ball.
I love when they hold hands!
Anne-Laure, Livia and Yann lead worship. We are so thankful for those who serve Jesus in worship.
Full house. Praise the Lord!
Daphné riding Domino.
Growing taller.
A peaceful haven for me.
Daphné and Lassie. She has befriended two dogs at a local salon.
Daphné had a fun time at her friend Evguénia’s birthday party.
My friend Ave is a professional pianist, and her concert with this opera singer was incredible. I had goosebumps and tears. Here is her website.
Me, Ave and Maki. We’ve been friends since 2016 when we met at an international mom’s group. Daphné had just turned one year-old. I love these girls.
Self-portrait with help from his friend Diego.
Mexican restaurant with our Colombian friends. You guys, this place is as close as I’ve found to legit Mexican food. Now we just need some legit American old-fashioned glazed donuts, and I’m a happy camper!
Daphné riding a cute, furry Centaure.
Enjoying the sea before my operation.
Having surgery in that building behind me. That’s where Django was born 6.5 years-ago, and where I got my umbilical hernia fixed 4 years ago.
Waiting room - not too shabby.
All dressed for surgery.
So thankful I brought a book. I ended up waiting 4 hours for my surgery. I was pretty much a nervous wreck. Thankfully, it all went well.
Elf booties.
That’s me!
I got cold waiting, so I enjoyed the cozy bed blankets.
I had a portable I.V. for 4 days with pain medication. A nurse would come by twice a day and add fluids and medication. I’m so thankful for how well we are cared for in France.
Django wanted some mama snuggles.
January 2024 was definitely much better than January 2023, so we’re off to a good start. Thank you Jesus for your goodness and for my amazing family.
Love Linz
