75 years-young & other fun

I love that my birthday month always starts off with another birthday! Papi Pierre was born on February 1st, and we just love to celebrate him. He is now 75 years-young and getting younger ;). I think Daphné, Django and their cousins Noé and Nils help with that bit. Enjoy some moments from the beginning of February.

Django let Papi use his Minion decorations!

Since I was recovering from surgery, everyone joined me on the couch for a group photo. Tonio wins the crazy eyes award.

Happy birthday Pierre!!! The Daphné / Django situation makes me laugh. Django wanted to help. Daphné wanted to let Papi blow his candle out alone. As you can imagine, there was a fight and tears after. Haha! But the cake was super yummy!

Psalm 115 from home while recovering with my portable I.V. It’s such a blessing to have the live stream to stay connected to the church body.

I took this screen shot on my computer, since I couldn’t be there in person. Elena shared her testimony and why she wanted to be baptized. So encouraging to see God working in her life.

The baptism after church. Daphné took this picture. Good job Daph!

Hadrien and Daphné play in the yard during the baptism.

Tonio and I were invited along with all the other pastors on the “Côte d’Azur” to a dinner with the Gideons (of the Gideon Bibles). It was their 50th anniversary serving along the French Riviera. So amazing to hear the testimonies of lives changed by God’s Word.

Taking a picture with some old friends of the family that we don’t see often, Brigitte and Josué.

Daphné riding Atari.

Meeting of the horses.

I LOVE this picture! I was taking the picture for a record of an idea of how to wear this yellow shirt, and I caught my husband mid-smoulder - hahaha!!! He was totally playing it up.

Rainy Saturday. We headed to the museum.

It’s so HUGE!

Up the old, beautiful stairs.

Django calls for me and says, “Mama, look! I found the Iron Giant robot!” If you see it, you see it.

I didn’t realize how much I enjoyed Jules Chéret’s work until this day. La Belle Époque.

“I really like this guy, mama.”

One of my favorite of Chéret in this collection.

Umbrella background. All three of us had to hand our pants to dry when we got home. In Nice, when it rains, it pours.

How happy is this horse-lover?!!! Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tim in California sent her a belated birthday gift, a horse encyclopedia and coloring book. She is neighing with joy.

View from our balcony after the rain. Thank you Jesus for providing this apartment for our family. I still trip out that we live here!

Papa took the kids on a bike ride while I was at home recovering and resting.

We got a new in-ear monitor system!!! It changes EVERYTHING to be able to hear yourself. It is making harmonies so much easier. Anne-Laure and I pose with our ear buds.

A friend of ours took this and said, “Future engineer.” He might not be too far off. We can see pure delight and an incredible gift in Django with LEGO creations already. It’s so fun to raise adults. Everyday they get closer to being independent human being with their own interests and giftings and challenges. What an honor to be able to guide them and cultivate their God-given capacities.

Daphné and Django, we sure do love cheering your on!!! You are both very capable, fun and loving people. We love you!

Love Mama (and Papa!
