JUNE countdown
As I type this post, we have 18 days left before we sit in a chair in the sky and end up on the other side of the world. I’m trying to tone my excitement down, because I kind of want to just skip around and toss flowers like a giddy flower girl. But thankfully, our schedule is pretty busy until we leave, so ain’t nobody got time for skippin’ around! Maybe we can squeeze in some flowers.
Daphné is growing in bravery asking dog owners all by herself if she can pet their dogs. This particular owner handed her the dog and said she could hold it. Daphné’s grin lasted for hours after this.
These two precious human beings brighten my day. We only really succeed at seeing each other 2-3 times a year, but each time is such good fun. If you follow the blog for a while now, you know this is Ave and Maki. We met at an international mom’s group in Nice in 2016 when our babes were around 1 year-old. I love them dearly.
I think I go to the dentist more than I get my haircut. I know I should go more often, but hey, I’ll take what I can get. And I always love seeing the crew at Identity Hair Design.
Daphné was invited to a laser tag birthday party. First time. Her sweaty head and candy-filled belly communicated she had a great time.
With Tanya, the birthday girl. Friends since they were both 3.
Daphné and this dog, Kawa, hit it off in the tram. He even sat on her lap.
Mother’s Day roses distribution team.
The team grew : Guélia, Emmanuel, Lorena and Daphné. Tonio had all the mama’s at church last Sunday stand up for French Mother’s Day. He prayed for us and the kids distributed the roses. It was a really sweet time.
Enjoying some Tintin in the morning before school.
And her comic book of choice is Ariol. She devours these books.
Daphné and Django thought it was pretty cool that they have a robot for a mama. Haha!!! I did a 24-hour heart exam. All is clear, no problems thank you Jesus.
The blessing of a car is being able to share it. I took a friend to an exam in the town over. While she was taking her test, I enjoyed some calm. Breathe. Exhale.
This verse of the day on my phone could not have come at a more perfect time. God’s Word is always so TRUE!
Daphné gets a trim. I explained the hairdresser that I had attempted to cut Daphné’s hair months ago. She giggled, but when she actually saw how uneven I cut it, she laughed. It was a really funny moment. I laughed too!
This Merlin Bird ID app is free and so fun. I now know who is singing to me all day. Aren’t they so cute? I guess I only thought we had dirty pigeons and annoying seagulls around here. Nope. There are cute little songbirds making it feel like spring all over the place.
Can I get an amen?!!!
I’m hoping to update the kids’ art soon, so stay tuned for some artwork. It’s a whole process, but it’s on my list of things to do before we leave. Hopefully, I’ll see you sooner than later.
Love Linz
ps - If you’re a mama, you’re doing a great job. I just wanted you to hear that. You are. Your children, big or small, are so lucky to have you. Keep it up!
