Sunny September
After summer, September always feels so refreshing in that we start new activities for the school year. Life goes back to a more steady pace. Summer is great, and a school rhythm is also great. Both have their place. Buckle up for a bedroom makeover, horseback riding lessons, home group and many birthday parties. Ready, set, go! [September 2023]
Lorena and Daphné love hanging out with the babies after church.
School picture day. I just can’t handle these two.
Bedroom before. No desks.
Bedroom after. Two desks!!!
The kids love that they can give each other fist bumps from their beds now.
This desk quickly becomes the LEGO creation station.
Daphné started horseback riding. I think she might love horsies as much as her mama, maybe even more! Here she is with Papyrus.
Daphné’s friend Eden came over before a birthday party.
Here’s Eden, Daphné and Valentina at the birthday party.
The party ended in the pool!
Leading worship is such a blessing. God is so worthy to be praised!!!
Here’s our home group. We meet once a month for dinner and a Bible study.
Daphné’s second week of riding. Meet Aaron.
Another birthday party. This one was at the National Sports Museum.
Our darling Daphodil received a beautiful new dress from Tata Cricri! Thanks Cricri!
KiwiCo science project learning all about capillary movement.
Daphné enjoys helping Django with his reading homework. She is a natural-born teacher, and Django is a natural-born learner, like a sponge.
Third week of horses. She rode Olive. It’s pretty cool how they ride a different horse each week. It teaches them how to be a good rider by experiencing different horse personalities.
Sometimes we try to capture God’s beautiful paintings. This particular morning, the sky was on fire!
Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner - I already made a post about this event. Remeber, I’m still playing blog catch up…haha!
And another birthday party - can you guess the theme?!!! Arrrrrrrr matey!!!!
And that’s a wrap for September 2023. Sometimes when I look back at a month in pictures, I wonder how we can do so many different things. That’s where the beauty of God’s strength and grace come in. He goes before us and equips us for each day’s need. It makes me think of this verse from the Bible :
“I will go before you and make the crooked places straight…” (Isaiah 45:2) Amen!
