Haircut
Hi guys, I’d love to share a few pictures from Django’s haircut last week. He has the coolest curly, strawberry blond hair, “blond vénitien” hair in French. I was born with this color, but it changed when I was about 6 months-old. Anyways, his mop was growing, and my attempts at keeping it maintained were proving fruitless. It was time to see a professional.
Here he is a couple days before his haircut chomping on a croissant at his Mamie and Papi’s house. When the weather is dry, his curls would straighten, leaving him annoyed with hair constantly in his eyes.
This beauty accompanied us to the hair salon, and brought her Polly Pockets to play with. She’s so well-behaved. The ladies at the salon were impressed.
Daphné patiently waited while the next few pictures ensued.
This is a gal named Mélodie. She came with high recommendations from a friend of mine who lives in our neighborhood. Django was not into this whole haircut thing, so we all made it through with the help of some cartoons on my phone.
He’s so cute and small in that big chair.
She cut it as if his hair as if it was straight hair, so we’ll see how it grows out. It was a bit shorter than I would have liked, but then it will last longer before we need to get it trimmed again. I may even be able to maintain it at home, since there is some shape now.
He can dig it!
Can you dig it?
Before and after.
No more hair in his eyes or in his ears. Haha. We are so incredibly thankful for this sweet boy and for the ability to be able to go to a hair salon and get a haircut. It’s being thankful for the little things, isn’t it, that keep our hearts grateful and full of perspective on what really matters?
I pray God bless you today,
Love Linz
