March 2026 Madness
I cheated a little. Since I had too many photos to share with you, I combined a few to still make it in the 20-photo limit. As I’ve shared before, limits and constraints foster creativity and production. Voilà, I give you the fun little moments of March.
Our friend Guillaume invited us to his concert playing the hurdy gurdy (←yes, you read that correctly). In French, the instrument is called a “vielle à roue,” which is much more beautiful, but a little less fun to say than hurdy gurdy - haha!
The concert was in an old castle, so Tonio and I had Daphné take our picture on the top of the castle.
Django with friends at school and writing his name in Japanese.
Big month for Daphné! She got braces on the top teeth. Before and after. In a few months, she will have them on the lower teeth as well.
Saturday morning family bike ride and play time.
“Mama, look at my jet glasses!”
Django has taken an interest in chess. Here he plays at church with our friend Ben. Then at home with Papi Pierre.
We had a dinner to thank all those who serve at church faithfully and regularly. It was a really special night, and I think everyone was blessed and encouraged to keep obeying Jesus in the simple act of serving Him and others.
Daphné has been allowed to join the junior high school group at church this year. The primary class is now all young boys, and she felt seriously out of place. We are thankful to have so many amazing people who teach our kids on Sunday mornings.
After church one day, there was a meeting for the stair project. Emmanuel’s and Andreas’ dads were both part of the meeting. So, I had fun with the kids at our home.
If I were to show you this picture and say, “guess what is going on?” What would you think? Food truck? Shower time? Haha! It was a day where Daphné’s class all received their “Bike riding licenses” - isn’t that fun? The hair nets are for those who didn’t bring their own helmets. Daphné was like, I ain’t wearing that - I’m bringing my own helmet! Haha!
And since we are on the subject of head apparel, these two cuties found the little keepsake boxes I made for them. They both had these little beanies, ram and sheep, when they were younger. I had to keep them. Django’s kind of fits, but Daph’s is for sure too small now. =)
This trampoline park is quite popular. I think this is Django’s fourth time here. This time for another birthday party.
Django and his buddies taking a little break before they start the next game of tag.
Daphné and her group at school building a bridge out of paper.
One day when I was walking home from swimming, I ran into Gor and Milena and Gabriel. They invited me to eat pizza with them on the beach. Twist my arm! I was so hungry after swimming, and it was super fun to hang out on such a beautiful day with great people.
Happy birthday Marlène! We were so happy to celebrate our friend Marlène at our home.
Getting old? One day, a blood vessel just broke in one of my fingers. Have no idea why or how. It took a few days for the swelling to settle. I was thankful I could still play guitar, since I was leading worship that weekend.
Agape feast at church. Wide angle shots taken from the front of church on the stage. We love eating together! It’s just great to be with God’s family!
Day date! You guys, have you seen “Project Hail Mary” yet?! It’s so great. Tonio and I both read the book a few years ago, and we have been waiting ever since for the movie. Ryan and Rocky nailed it. So much fun. I laughed. I cried. And laughed some more. Highly recommend.
Thanks for stopping by. I’m glad you’re here. Have a lovely rest of your day. Look outside at a bird today (or listen to one) and thank God for His creation, big and small.
Love Linz
