Disneyland (day 1)

My amazing parents gifted all three families the trip of a lifetime. We got to spend 3 days at Disneyland and 3 nights in the Disneyland Hotel!!! It was pretty amazing. Thank you Mama and Dad. Thank you Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tim. May the Lord bless you for your generosity. We were blessed. The memories are priceless, especially for the cousins!!!

Waiting in line for the Buzz Lightyear ride.

Ready for battle.

Django, Grandpa Tim and Rowdy were ahead of us. Ahead of them is Nova and Uncle Tanner. And ahead of them is Rowyn and Daphné. Behind us was Auntie Chelsey and Rocky.

Finding Nemo submarine ride is always a fun one!

Collins was a little sad when it got super dark, and I don’t blame her. It was so fun to ride this ride with my brother - I think the last time we rode it together, it was 20,000 leagues under the sea.

And at Disneyland, you can drive before you’re 16. Look out! Daphné is working the gas and steering. We had a funny and bumpy ride.

Django and Papa on the other track.

Here comes Rowyn!

Auntie Chelsey and Rocky.

Uncle Tanner and Nova behind Chels and Rocky.

And here comes Grandpa Tim and Rowdy rounding the bend.

Tanner wearing Nova’s ears. He’s such a good girl dad!

Rowyn, Nova and Daphné getting Rapunzel’s autograph.

The ginormous carousel in the middle of Fantasy Land.

Grandma Kathy and Rocky.

Django having a blast in Toon Town.

This slide is made of several rolling bars. Django loved it! Collins and Uncle Tanner are following him.

Rowdy and Django pushing all the buttons and pulling all the levers they can in Toon Town.

My Dad, Pluto and me. This picture means a lot to me, because the last time I was at Disneyland with my Dad was with my late Grandpa Lew. We got a picture with Pluto then too. Good memories with a happy dog!

Enjoying the ambiance while waiting to fly the Millennium Falcon.

Daphné and I were pilots. Django and Rowdy were gunners. Tonio and Paula, a family friend, were engineers. It was a wild ride!

Disney is so amazing at their attention to detail, even waiting in line, you are transported to another universe.

Getting ready for take-off.

These guys were great! Ryan and his coworker were “scavenging” and found this “R2” unit. They never broke character, even while the kids bombarded them with questions.

The kids even asked for Ryan’s autograph in their little autograph books. I think he was a little shy but also tickled. It was really sweet. We had to get a picture of them all. Nova is stoked to be holding little R2-D2.

And we got to see Chewbacca!!! (enter Chewy yell here)

While walking through the Star Wars land, we spotted some Storm Troopers. They don’t pose for pictures, but instead try to keep peace on the planet. They are in character nonstop. They kept saying things like, “Move it along” or “What are you doing with that illegal contraband?” or “Are you with the rebellion?” Pretty entertaining.

Here is our whole group in front of the Millennium Falcon using the force. My dad is channeling the aloha force.

Lis and Paula, two family friends joined us on our Disney adventures. So glad we were able to experience this world all together.

The best I could get of our family in front of Sleeping Beauty’s castle. We were tired at the end of the day.

Our TV in our hotel room had our last name written. The kids thought it was magical. Haha!

That wraps up the first of the Disney days. Day two we went to the California Adventure Park. Post to follow. Again, can’t stop expressing my gratitude for this incredible time together!
