California Adventure (day 2)
After a long day at the Disneyland Park and a late night enjoying the resort pool, we woke up tired. It was a tough day. Many rides were closed or broke down while we were in line, but we tried to make the best of it. At least we were together, and that was a blessing! And we did have some good fun for sure. See for yourselves! Enjoy!
Rowyn and Daphné ready for the day.
In line to ride the new Cars ride, but it broke down after waiting for more than an hour…boo hoo. At least we got this great shot by Sarah, my sister-in-law, Nova’s mama.
Mater’s Junkyard silly spinning ride with my boy.
Daphné, Nova and Rowyn enjoying the crazy ride.
In line for what used to be called California Screamin’, but is now called the Incredacoaster, based on the Incredibles movies.
Sarah squinting from the early morning sun. Me checking to make sure Daphné is ok. Daphné wishing she was not on this ride. I am very proud of her that she did it!
Nova with the wind-blown look. Rowyn saying to the rollercoaster, “Is this all you’ve got?!”
Chelsey, Rocky and Granny on the Little Mermaid ride.
Django trying on a Storm Trooper mask. A bit big, so he didn’t get it.
Remote control R2-D2. This might be one of Django’s favorite parts of the whole trip.
We were treated to Goofy’s Kitchen by Grandma and Grandpa! It was a delicious breakfast! Goofy poses with Nova, Rowdy, Django, Rowyn, Daphné and Collins.
Daphné and Chip, from Chip and Dale.
Chip and Django.
Django and I joined the character parade through the breakfast hall. You can see our people in the corner.
Daphné, Rocky and Django with Pluto.
Rocky, Chip and Nova.
Nova, Minnie Mouse and Rocky.
Rocky, Pluto and Nova.
The Pixar Parade just happened upon us, so we enjoyed. Daphné and Rowyn look at the characters from UP. Russel riding Kevin the dodo bird.
Joy and Sadness from Inside Out.
Nova, Chelsey and Rocky on the Little Mermaid ride. It turned out to be one of my favorites. So much color and wonder!
Rocky, Chelsey and Grandpa Tim on the swings. Our dad is the one who introduced us to roller coasters and fun rides SO many years ago. He’s still at it at his ripe ol’ age - haha! (Love you Dad!)
Nova and Rowyn pose in front of one of the many 70th birthday signs. Happy Birthday Disneyland!
Rowyn, Donald Duck, Nova, Collins and Sarah. I can almost hear Donald’s voice.
Tanner, Nova and Collins with Lightning McQueen. I love seeing my brother with his girls. You are such a good daddy Tanner! I love you!
Nova and Rowyn with Mickey Mouse!
Now this might just be one of my favorite pictures from the whole trip. I’m so glad Chels took it. I love and miss my sister so much it hurts sometimes. She is a blessing in my life. Love you sis!
Grizzly Bear Rapids. Nova and Rowyn win the prize for being the most soaked at the end.
Stroller Party!
On the walk back to the Disneyland Hotel through Downtown Disney, Daphné and I stopped to watch these cute ducklings follow their mama in the water. Disney is magical in so many ways, but nothing beats God’s creation!
As you can see, we ended up having quite a fun day, despite the few little hiccups here and there. Thank you again Mom and Dad for this trip!
