Austria Refresh Conference

August 10-16, 2025. Sunday, August 10, we left on a road trip to Millstatt, Austria. We drove 864 kilometers, which took 9-ish hours. We are thankful we could go one more time. It might be the last year, so we enjoyed it to the fullest!

Road trip almost done.

Austrian mountains are spectacular.

First sighting of the castle.

Name tag.

Morning feet.

Django had so much fun with this airplane and making friends.

Nancy Sylvester, a true gem and a blessing. York, England.

Me and my girl at the lake.

Me and my bud at the lake.

Daphné took this picture of me and Django in the water on our Rad Bugs.

Small jump.

Remote-controlled boat pushing Django’s airplane.

Where we met on the dock 16 years ago. Time flies. So glad he introduced himself to me!

My feet with Django’s.

Tonio went on a hike before sunrise one morning.

The moon was still up.

He said it was a hike he had been wanting to do for a few years. I’m so glad he was able to finally do it.

Django and his buddy Gideon. Seattle, Washington.

Daphné and a gaggle of girls and boys.

Peace.

High jump! Such a brave girl!!! Go Daphné!!!

These girls are just precious, Rachel and Olivia. Italy, then Texas.

View from the sanctuary.

A new song I really like.

I went with Denae to the doctor, then we went and ate Austrian Stuffed Noodle place. This sweet lady spoke English and helped us with our orders.

Django’s first jump off the dock! We are impressed!

She’s a beauty.

Sunsets never disappoint here.

Django and his friend Louie.

There she goes again, like a pro!

Learning to cast.

Daphné, Vivia and Evelyn chilling on the dock.

Django teaching others how to cast.

Hope has been a constant source of encouragement over the years at the castle. Rome, Italy.

Heading across the lake to have some fun.

Daphné with her buddies on the couch.

Leaving the dock.

Faster!

Weeeee!

My turn, I got to join Daphné at the end for the last ride.

Back to the castle. I like how Daphné’s reflection landed on the castle.

Daphné and Evelyn and Vivia lead the pack.

E.B. and D.P. Then Z.H. Leaving their mark.

Evelyn and Daphné.

Amy is so cool. Slovenia.

And this girl. Love her. Turin, Italy.

Saying good-bye is always so hard. Daphné sandwiched between Evelyn and Mia. Costa Mesa, California.

It was a lovely week with beautiful people in a magnificent place. I praise the Lord that I met Tonio here, and that we had so many summers visiting. I looked back, and I was able to go 10 times total. Tonio has gone many, many more times than this, since he grew up going with his parents every summer.

To God be the glory! I pray His will be done with the castle, whether it sells or not. Schloss Heroldeck, you are pretty special to so many of us. Thanks for the all the memories! See all the years of our visits in this blog post!

Love Linz
