10 Years visiting the Castle

Here is a fun little yearbook of Tonio and Lindsey and Schloss Heroldeck.

2009. We met. I came from Pafos, Cyprus. He came from Nice, France. I was 28. Tonio was 27.

2010. Tonio had just been in the states to ask me to marry him. I said yes, of course! I was back getting ready for our wedding in California that was two months later in October 2010. He is with Dave Downs in this photo.

2011. Our first trip as a married couple. After this trip, my parents came to visit us in Nice, then I found out I was illegal in France. We quickly followed my parents back to California in October 2011 to get the proper visas.

2012. We are so young.

2013. Still babies.

2014. I was pregnant with Daphné and went to California by myself for baby showers and such. We didn’t make it to the castle this year.

2015. We visited California and Washington to introduce everyone to our beautiful Daphné. We weren’t able to visit this year either.

2016. Daphné’s first time to the castle.

2017. I was very pregnant with Django. He was born just a few days after the conference ended, which is why we couldn’t make it this year.

2018. The whole family together at the castle for the first time!

2019. So fun to see the kids grow by the lake.

2020. No conference this year. Covid.

2021. A very small group this year. We had so much fun!

2023. Marina and Benoît’s wedding. Couldn’t make it to the castle this year.

2024. Romane and Tristan’s wedding. Couldn’t make it this year either.

2025. Our last year (maybe)! We enjoyed it to the fullest. Daphné is 10 and a half, Django is 8 in one week. I’m 44. Tonio is 43. It has been so much fun!!!

Including the year I met Tonio, I went 10 times. Tonio went 11 times. Daphné went 6 times. Django went 5 times. So much fun! I consider our family blessed to have such a special place in our hearts and memories. Thank you Jesus for our family in Christ!
