Carnaval and February Shenanigans
Have you ever tried writing the word shenanigans? Haha. I never can remember how to spell it. Thank you google. Enjoy these 30 pictures from the beginning of February and the beginning of the kids winter vacation.
Django was invited to a birthday party at this cool soccer club where Tonio sometimes plays.
Tonio stayed and said he had a blast.
Happy birthday Gabriel!
Daphné loves her Mamie.
Worship night led by Yann, Natacha, Yohan and Jake. It was a really sweet time.
I take pictures of my Sunday outfits most weeks just for fun and to send to a friend at church and my mama.
Tonio leading worship.
We are blessed by our church family. So amazing to have each one of these people in our lives.
Happy birthday Papi Pierre! The man who films himself blowing out his own candles. Ha!
The kids hover as he opens his cards and gifts. His beautiful sister watches too.
Daphné riding Domino.
I was able to accompany Django’s class on another field trip. They saw the movie Blue by Disney Nature. It was really well done. I love seeing Django in the middle of his buddies!
And after the field trip, I came home to check on my sick girl before heading back to the school for the Carnaval celebration.
Since I was there to set up the snack table, I got to see Django’s P.E. class - they were doing relay races.
And here is some of the parent association crew. Yes, I’m the only one who dressed up! Haha!!!
I found my Batman in the courtyard.
Batman and Tinkerbell. See all the confetti on the ground? That is Carnaval : dress up and throw confetti on people. Not our favorite, but Django was happy to dress up. Daphné was sad she missed it, since she was home sick.
And this is a fun picture my mom sent me. My dad bought himself a new board. That is my childhood home. They are still there!
Daphné and Django rolling on the ground laughing at the drawing Daphné did of Mamie apparently.
Pictionary with Django does not require too much difficult guessing. Robot!
I got a new scarf from Cricri. Merci Cricri!
Tonio found 4 bins of LEGO and DUPLO one day on the street to give away. He brought them all home, and we have some happy campers! The LEGO dry in the sun after washing them.
Trip to the pool with mama.
Trip to the Cimiez olive grove. It’s cold outside, and they wanted ice cream and a popsicle. Django then cleverly explained that it’s better to eat them when it’s cold, because they don’t melt. He is so right!
I hope you gasp-laughed! She is having pictures taken at the orthodontist for BEFORE shots. It looks like we have a few years of orthodontist visits ahead of us. Her mouth doesn’t have room for the teeth party going on. Ha! Also, yes, she is wearing pink eye shadow, and her shirt says “Pouting” Academy.
These were planted outside of Django’s speech therapy building, and I had to take a picture. Many of you know that our Nickname for Daphné is Daphodil for daffodil. =)
After speech therapy, boulangerie stop. It’s tradition.
Thank you Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tim for the Valentine’s Day cards!
I’m so thankful the kids’ school places a big emphasis on art. They always come home with such beautiful pieces.
I was sick but needed to get some fresh air. A trip to the sea was definitely in order. The kids found a patch of sand, and we played for an hour.
We are glad you stopped by for a visit. May you have a lovely day!
Love Linz
