Vacation from our vacation
After spending time in Savoie, we headed south to a mountain village called Guillaumes. Here, we had a little vacation after our vacation with just the 4 of us. It was very refreshing.
The drive was incredible! This lake was massive!
It just kept going.
And going!
Mountain roads, nothing like them. I'm thankful for Tonio and all his driving. I still had a VERY sore tailbone at this point. Thankfully, I had a lovely inflatable donut to sit on.
This waterfall sounded so powerful when we rolled down the windows.
A beautiful valley.
We reached the Col de la Cayolle.
Tonio and his brother have driven up here to start a hike before.
2,326 meters = 7,631 feet altitude.
Inside our little vacation rental in Guillaumes. Daphné snapped this as I was walking down the stairs.
Access to the pool made our stay royal!
Weeeeee!
Yum. Hair. Ha!
I enjoyed relaxing on my butt donut. Thankfully, the pain only lasted 2 weeks. All better now as I type this blogpost.
Daphné practiced diving.
Django playing with papa.
I wish I would have counted how many times she did this...I would guess at least 20, maybe 30.
Pool by the mountains. Yes please.
Walk into town to get ice cream.
That is some intense food coloring.
Me and my bearded Frenchie with a castle in the background.
Django found a friend at the park to play football with.
That wraps up our first two days in Guillaumes. August 1-2, 2024. We are so thankful that God provided this opportunity for our family.
