Meeting Cousin Nova!

Living far away has its benefits and its drawbacks. A huge drawback is being far from family :( This post, which I almost titled “Family Reunion” is just that - my parents, my sister and my brother and all the families together in the same place at the same time. It had been a minute, as I’ve learned is a new way to say that it’s been a while. 7 and a half years to be exact. Too long. But it happened, and I’m thankful. You can enjoy the reunion below. (July 2023)

I got to hug my brother!!! I love and miss him so much. We last hugged December 2016, when Daphné was not quite 2 years-old.

Django and cousin Nova meet for the first time.

Nova and Daphné.

Group hug, while the engineer builds.

Fun to be back together in the house where we all grew up.

Getting ready for a family dinner. I love Django’s smirk.

The siblings! Tanner, Chelsey and me. These three have been such a huge part of my journey as a human person. I love you Tan! I love you Chels!

Sarah, my sister-in-law, Chelsey, Rocky, Tanner and my cousin Wyndi.

My mama!

Uncle Mark, Django and my Dad (most known as Grandpa Tim).

I missed endless bowls of guacamole and salsa.

Tanner and mama.

Cousins : Rocky, Rowyn and Daphné.

Sarah took these great pictures with her nice camera. Rowyn, Daphné, AJ (my cousin Wyndi’s daughter), Django, Rowdy, Rocky and Nova).

I love this. It’s like they’re on a roller coaster.

Make silly faces!

We celebrated Nova’s 5th birthday. Happy birthday big girl!

Nova’s face!!! LOL!

Opening gifts.

My parents redid the front porch, and it’s nice to not slowly lean downhill while afraid of falling down the rock wall anymore. Haha!

Our cousin Wyndi and Tanner.

The cousins put on a show. I did the same with my cousins when I was little - so much fun!

Family photo. The whole gang after church on Sunday.

Our resting faces.

Cousins in the front.

Our family. Django had just eaten a carrot, and I have a fire hydrant tale. Haha!

Grandpa Tim with Nova and Rocky.

Whirlpool.

Morning snuggles with Nova and Grandpa Tim.

I enjoyed this moment. I love these two, Nova and Django.

My brother and sister-in-law’s set up our parents’ front yard.

The truck that tows the trailer.

Saying good-bye :(

Tonton Tonio tickles Nova.

So much love.

Hahaha! Daphné’s face.

The rugby man hugs his cousin bye.

That was a fun weekend meeting Nova. Also, my brother and sister-in-law met Django for the first time. See you guys again soon! Love you!!!

Love Linz
