Cousin Week
These kids hit the ground running. Literally less than one hour after arriving at Grandma and Grandpa’s house, my sis arrived with the cousins. And they picked right back up from where they left off two years ago. (June/July 2023)
Day 1 -
Rowdy brought over a bag of toys for Django to play with at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. Monster truck launcher for the win!
Rowyn and Daphné escaped to the bunkhouse and came back with fancy press-on nails.
Day 2 -
Wagon ride to the park. The youngest rode, while the two older cousins pulled.
Grandma Kathy pushes Django and Rowdy on the swings.
Day 3 -
Hang out in Auntie Chelsey and Uncle Brett’s backyard.
Day 4 -
More Jacuzzi hang out. Grandpa Tim is loving life.
Day 5 -
Girl trip to the mall. My sister and I left the boys with Uncle Brett and gallivanted around the mall to look for dresses for a wedding.
Daphné and Rowyn not only have “Best Friends” necklaces, but they also found matching dresses.
This girl harnesses all the sass, attitude and fun of Sharpay from High School Musical.
Rowyn embracing the pink frills, kitty ears and peace signs.
Daphné loves this little bean, Rocky Mae, one of her favorites.
Day 6 -
At Sunday school at Rowyn and Rocky’s church.
Pool party and baptism after church. Grandma loves her Django.
Day 7 -
My Uncle Marty remarried after his late wife went to be with Jesus. It was such a fun time to see family from the Hutchinson side. Rowyn and Daphné were very well-behaved during the ceremony.
Django and Rowdy? Well… they stayed mostly quiet. Haha! Behind them is my cousin Maile and cousin Tricia.
I love that Daphné and Rowyn match, as do Django and Rowdy. Rocky Mae went from Princess Elsa to shorts and tall socks. She is her own fashion statement.
These boys played hard. Thankfully, there was a playground right next to our table.
Cheers. Daphné and Rowyn were so excited for the sparkling apple cider!
They are such good friends. I love the two of them together. Sure, they can squabble, but there’s something special about having a girl cousin your age.
And while we were all gussied-up, we had my sis snap a family picture. I love this crew!!!
First week down, 4-1/2 more to go. It was so nice to be with my family. I miss them. I thank the Lord for how He leads us. Never in my wildest dreams would I think I’d be living in France so far from my family, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m so thankful. And I’m so thankful for family visits like this.
