Nice Summer Adventures

Whenever we get back from our trip to the west coast of the USA, I’m never sure what to expect as far as jet lag. Thankfully, our re-entry was so easy this time, and I think there are two reasons for that.

1) The weather was very mild in the beginning of August when we landed. Jet lag can be brutal with heat and humidity. 2) And since the kids are older, it is MUCH easier to handle sleeping at night with jet lag. They understand that they need to stay in their beds even if it’s hard to fall back to sleep.

So, here is what our first week and a half back looked like. Have fun!

Django did swim lessons for a week. We are so proud of him!

Good old fashioned building forts.

One of the days before we left for the pool I realized that we all had red/orange on top and green on the bottom. Haha!

High ropes course with our friends! Manon, Daphné, Django and Clément.

And the fierce parents: me and Tonio, Thomas and Maëva.

Me and my girl up in the trees.

We weren’t sure what to expect from Django. He truly surprised us all and charged the ropes and zip lines like a boss.

Such wonder in little eyes.

There goes Daphodil! She has no fear of zip lines.

My friend Derya and me after swim lessons one day. She invited us all over for lunch.

Me and my friend Caryn, who was visiting from Italy after their vacation in Spain. Gotta love Europe.

Caryn’s oldest David found a friend in Django, the two white skinned, red heads.

Enjoying Cricri’s company by the pool in Antibes.

This picture is so sweet. I love the relationship the Daphné and Django have with their Papi, Mamie, Tata Cricri, Grandpa and Grandma. They are some pretty blessed kids.

The two fish - like father, like daughter.

Selfie with my bud. We were warming up in the sun.

Pierre snapped this one - full on summer vibes, especially with that palm tree behind us.

Django and Daphné playing at Cricri’s after the pool.

Emmanuel came over to our house while his mama helped set up the church for Benoît and Marina’s wedding.

And this one!!! Pierre took this. One day when Django is either an astronaut or football (soccer) player, these will be great pictures to look back on.

Well, that sums up our first 10 days back… lots of swimming, climbing and spending time with good friends. Next up is a wedding!

Love Linz
