Jolly June

Hi guys, as you may have noticed I’m in mode “get-this-blog-updated.” It brings me so much joy to look back and reflect on so many great memories in the midst of normal, every day stress, getting upset with fighting kids and being a human being in the mundane. Ha.

Django engineered and made this robot box with antenna.

Makes the croissant taste that much better.

I made these American peanut butter cookies for two separate bake sales in June. The French are not big on peanut butter, but I was surprised how many people actually enjoyed them. I personally think they’re delicious!

Stamp time. I used to stamp like crazy when I was younger. If you’ve seen Napoleon Dynamite, I was totally Deb with the caboodle and everything =).

Sea Urchin.

My fashion friend at church, Barb. She sews all her clothes. I just mix and match all my hand-me-downs. =)

Most parents get to visit the emergency room, some more than others. We are thankful that we haven’t been too much. Django sliced his finger open with a small cardboard saw. We are also thankful for access to emergency care, even if the wait is long.

The doctor super glued his wound shut. Yay! Battle scar.

Daphné is a good helper. She helped me cut these laminated tickets Django’s end-of-the-year school party.

Holding a graduation announcement for our good friend Micah. We are so proud of you Micah!!!

Having these two mama friends, Maki and Ave, has been such a blessing since we all met in 2016 when our kids were around 1 year-old. We still try to see each other 2-3 times a year. Life has definitely gotten busier as the kids grow.

Here is Daphné and Django with Maki’s kids Toma and Juli.

Django helped me wheel these two coffee machines to his school to get ready for the big party.

We finally got his school pictures - yay! He’s such a handsome little guy.

Tonio teaching the Psalms at church on Sunday morning.

My communion cracker was shaped like a heart. I love those little reminders of God’s love in the simplest things.

Pierre bought me a DNA kit, and voilà, that’s me. I know where the “Bretonne” (Brittany, France) comes from, my great-grandpa Louie, who was my Grandma Betty’s father.

We finally bought a blow-up stand-up paddle board!!!

Thomas and Laura are our first missionaries sent out by our church since Tonio has been the pastor. We love them so much!

The kids’ creativity with melon.

This particular Sunday, Daphné asked me to print extra copies of the worship music so she and her friend Lorena could follow along. They sing so loud, I can hear them from the stage. Makes my heart overflow with joy!

Maiden voyage on the stand-up in the Med.

Pierre took this picture. I really like the vibrant colors of the bougainvilleas and Daphné observing them.

Thank you so much for following along with our family through this blog.

Love Linz
