Grand Finale
And that’s a wrap folks. Wow, that was a fun 5 weeks with my family and all our friends! Is it really over?! (crying emoji) Living far away is so hard, but it makes reunions like these 5 weeks that much more sacred. I sure do love living in France with my beautiful family, knowing God has called us there. His peace surely surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Enjoy a few last memories before we fly.
On our way home from Encinitas, we stopped to see some dear friends, the Lowe family. We missed Chet, but it was sweet to see Andrea, even if just for a few minutes. I met them in Montana in 2005, and I thank the Lord for how He used them in my life.
And also on our way home from Encinitas, we met a family that will be moving to Lyon, France. Here’s Daphné and Django with their kiddos. We had a fun pool barbecue.
This guy got a hair cut in a race car. Gotta love southern California!
Tonio was able to teach at Calvary Chapel Conejo Valley, my parents’ church. This picture is from Tonio’s dad, Pierre, watching Tonio’s message in France.
Facetime with my brother and his fam. They didn’t make it down. I’m sad, but hopefully we’ll see them in the next couple years. I love you Tanner!
Fan repair with Grandpa Tim. Who doesn’t love power tools?!
Another trail ride with cousin Rowyn on Remington.
Trampoline and pool at Auntie Chelsey and Uncle Brett’s house!
This is my beautiful cousin Lisa, who is such an incredible friend. I love her deeply. She came to visit us in France three months after Django was born, and I was in the throws of post-partum depression. Her presence made everything seem like it was all going to be ok. And it was. Thank you Lisa. I love that I’m stuck with you. Haha!
My sister posted this photo of our girls on instagram last week with such a fun caption. I’m going to quote her, “Peanut butter and jelly, salt and pepper, Thelma and Louise, Starsky and Hutch, Pink and Purple, Anna and Elsa. Whatever timeless combo you can name, these girls are it…”
Uncle Brett and Auntie Chelsey! We love them. I’m so proud of them for surmounting hurdles and keeping their eyes on Jesus. If you ever need a fitness trainer, please look up my brother-in-law at Forged Performance Institute. He is awesome. www.forgedperformanceinstitute.com
Tonio and I got to lead worship on Sunday morning at my parents’ church. It was pretty fun and also strange to sing in English… Haha!
This photo is a way to mark our time with two very special people in our lives. I forgot to get a picture while we were with them, Dave and Inga-lill Guzik. We met them in Ventura, and it was so great to catch up. They did our pre-marital counseling, and Dave officiated our wedding. We love the Guzik’s!
While we were in Ventura, Grandma and Grandpa took the kids with Auntie Chelsey and all the cousins to the beach.
I love this picture so much! My Daddy and my boy in the ocean. Makes me smile.
And this one!!!! My Dad giving Rowyn and Daphné surf lessons. They had a blast! I saw videos, and they are classic memories for sure.
Here’s a photo from after a really fun surf session with my dad, Uncle Dave and cousin Caden. C Street in Ventura. It had been over 20 years since I surfed here last. I forgot how fun it was!
Morning cuddles with Granny!
This girl, my little sis (yes, she’s taller). I love her. We cried so hard saying good-bye. Even so, as a good friend reminded me, it is well with my soul. I’m so proud of you sis. I look forward to our face time chats and for your entire family visiting us in France!!! (hehe)
My mama and my daddy. Aren’t they the coolest?!
The Petrignani’s with Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tim.
Petrignani - Kahanowitch grandkids!
And all the Petrignani’s and Kahanowitch’s with my mom and dad. This photo gives me great joy and a little wince in my heart, knowing I won’t see them for a while. Until then, may we all continue to live lives in love with our Creator and King Jesus!!! Uncompromising and unashamed of being children of God.
Love Linz
