May Reflection

Hi friends! Can you believe it’s June 1st already?!! Me neither. In standard fashion, I give you May’s reflection questions (from Emily P. Freeman). I cannot tell you how therapeutic and awe-inspiring this practice has become to me. My favorite part about it is seeing God’s hand in everything. He is OH. SO. GOOD. Here are the questions :

  1. What was your favorite photo from May?

  2. Name a thoughtful moment in May,

  3. What’s something you look forward to in June?

This is not my favorite photo, but it’s a fun one to fill your screen while you scroll to the much anticipated answers… so, without further ado, I give you…

1. My favorite photo from May.

These are my people. I love them. This was taken on Tonio’s birthday during his birthday picnic lunch along the sea. I love Django’s curls and sweet face resting on his hand. I love Daphné trying so hard to keep her eyes open in the bright sun. I love Tonio’s joy and strength holding Daphné (she’s getting so tall and muscular). And I mostly love that this is the family God has blessed me with. What a gift!

2. A thoughtful moment in May.

This photo sparked my answer to this prompt. Daphné and Django are two completely different humans. Duh. Captain Obvious here. Seeing Django work the lock, budge, shove, pull, push, shake, even yell made me marvel at how fun (and different) our kids are. Daphné is adventurous in other ways. Here Django displays adventure in wanting to test the limits and go beyond. [He never succeeded, but had fun trying.]

3. Something I look forward to in June.

Being with these people in less than 2 weeks!!! This picture is from the last time we visited my family in December 2016. It’s been 4 1/2 years. WAY. TOO. LONG. The wide angle lens makes it look like I grew up in a cartoon house… haha! The men: my brother Tanner, Tonio, my Dad Tim, my brother-in-law Brett. The ladies: my sister-in-law Sarah, my Mama Kathy, me and Daphné, my sister Chelsey with her daughter Rowyn. There’s a few more cousins now. Can’t wait to squeeze all these faces. Thanks for walking down Reflection Lane with me. I hope it did you some good too. I praise the Lord for the gift of each moment. 13 days to take-off!!!Love Linz
