Tonio turns 39!

My handsome husband and incredible papa to our two kiddos just turned 39 years-old last Satuday, May 22nd. We sure do love celebrating his life. I’m so thankful for him. And if you know him, you know why… he’s just flat-out amazing. Here are a few pictures from his big day.

I made blueberry swirl cheesecake bars. Tonio approved and enjoyed them heated up with vanilla ice cream.

And I was on a baking kick, so I made Lemon shortbread bars…. These were my favorite. There are still some in the fridge…. giddy smile on my face!

Decorations are a must (and tortilla chips too). I love traditions around birthdays and holidays, so I’m definitely the tradition cheerleader. Daphné is getting into it too. You can see the countdown chain in the background… it’s getting shorter and shorter!

And the living room… banner and balloons. The kids’ favorite part is the balloons, of course.

We had a birthday beach picnic for lunch. Picked some yummy stuff up at the bakery and enjoyed a gorgeous seascape. Django and Daphné built towers out of rocks.

Then, we came home to sing, blow out candles and eat dessert.

My favorite part of this picture is the ring on his finger. He’s mine, and I’m his. Enter cute heart emojis here…haha!

You probably figured it out that Joyeux Anniversaire means Happy Birthday in French =). Well done!
