School Vacation
In France, kids have 2 weeks off of school every six weeks : in October, December, February, April and then 2 months for summah time!!! Since the school days are long here (8:30am-4:30pm / 8 hours), it seems that every time a school break comes around, their little bodies are ready for some sleep in days and some good old chill play with friends at a park. And that’s just what we did here.
My two really good girl friends, Maki and Ave, have similar-aged kids, and we had not all gotten together in a LOOOONG time. So, I give you a day of fun at a super cool park. Enjoy the slideshow! (a special thank you to Maki who took many of these photos).

So, I have Daphné and Django. Then Ave (below middle) has Astor and Elgar, and Maki (below right) has Toma and Juli. We met in January 2016 at an international mom meet-up group. Maki felt a connection with the two of us and invited us to hang out. We have been friends ever since.
Me, the American woman married to a French-American man. Ave, the Estonian woman married to an Andorran man (the principality between France and Spain). Maki, the Japanese woman married to a Frenchman. We speak English together. We tell stories of how crazy our lives are. We understand each other. We encourage each other. We laugh constantly. They are medicine to my mama soul. I love them!
Here is a picture I took in January 2016 of our kids together at the mom meet-up. At this point, we hadn’t officially even met each other. It was only after this day, that we connected.
And that’s all. I hope you enjoyed, and…. I hope you have friends that keep you sane and help you laugh about life’s ups and downs. I thank the Lord for bringing these two into my life. They are a huge blessing!
