Festival Ciel en Fête
August 11-15, 2026, we drove 4 hours to join up with a group from church for a Christian festival called Ciel en Fête in the town of Chambon-sur-Lignon. Enjoy some photos from our trip.

Hi friends!
It’s pretty fun to be on vacation with our church family.
The storm is literally about to arrive in a few minutes.
After this picture, it started raining. Daphné and I got off. Rod and Natacha peddled the boat back to return it. They got hit. It was chaos packing up all the towels, paddle board, belongings, kids… running to cars in a deluge. None of us will ever forget the lake storm.

It was quite a fun experience as a family to see the sun slowly diminished behind the moon. It wasn’t 100% covered but 90-ish%.
I took this putting the eclipse glasses in front of my phone camera lens. It’s a croissant!

Family lake day. This is the only picture I took. We had so much fun with the paddle board and the Rad Bugs and playing in the refreshing water. It did end up raining at the end, but much less intense than the other day.
We are down at the other end. Cheese!
The last evening we were there was a concert by Sebastien Corn and Benji Nussbaumer. It was our favorite part of the festival (mine and Tonio’s). Django like the bounce house, and Daphné the animals.

We are thankful for our brothers and sisters in Christ. It was a tiring week, sprinkled with cool moments of gratitude and awe at God’s goodness and majesty.
