April 2026

Hello there! Normally the saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers.” We didn’t have much rain in April, but sometimes it surprises us in May. We shall see. In either case, the flowers are showing off around here. Spring is my favorite season. The smell of jasmine, the hanging wisteria, the lizards sunbathing, the birds harmonizing… a happy me.

We love hand-me-downs! A family at church blesses Django often with bags of clothes, shoes and hats. Django models some of his favorites.

We got to see our friends Thomas and Laura on Zoom. They are about to welcome their second child soon. Their first is named Tonio, who we refer to as “Petit Tonio.”

I got to teach Sunday school on Easter Sunday. Such a fun group of kids. I also had 3 big girls helping.

I found a beautiful lampshade on the street, but my lamp had a smaller connection point. Django (and Daphné) helped me engineer this with LEGO.

Daphné went to the theater to see a play called, “Lucienne Eden ou l’île perdue.” Did you find Daphné?

Django’s cousin came to visit us in his two-dimensional form. Flat Rowdy! We took this picture here, because Rowdy is in the picture below with Chewbacca and the rest of the cousins.
