Modesto and Waterford
The beauty of so many things is in perspective. Tonio and I are supported by generous churches and generous people in the states and in Europe. It’s super humbling. It can be hard sometimes not having a steady income, but it is also a good challenge for us to trust God.
We got to visit a church that supports us, Calvary Chapel Modesto, and it was pretty special. Meeting people who have been praying for you for years is like God’s cherry on the top of a delicious Sundae. Such a blessing!
Driving the grapevine to head to central / northern California.
Our hosts had a friend with a pool!
Weeeeeeee!
Yee haw!
Spidey jump!
Dean and Suzanne allowed us to stay at their cozy home. We are so thankful for their generosity.
My Uncle Greg and Aunt Kera came to see us at church on Sunday morning.
The kids thought it was pretty cool to see our family up on the screen.
Jeremiah, the missions pastor, introduced us.
We even had our own tables after service for barbecue Sunday! We had some sweet people join us.
Here we are with Jeremiah and Damian, two pastors at Calvary Chapel Modesto.
And a fancy shot with black and white in the background.
This is Lucy. She is a doll. We met in Austria at the conference so many years ago, and she is such a sweet sister in the Lord.
These two gals are a blessing to our family in praying for us. Thank you Kathy and Suzanne!
So fun that we know some of the other missionaries from just being in Europe.
Family photo with Dean, Suzanne and Daisy the doggie.
Silly one. Daphné and Tonio win the prize for best faces.
What a beautiful couple and beautiful story.
Daphné saying good bye to blind and deaf Daisy.
Daphné meeting Bailey, my unlcle and aunt’s dog.
Django, Chance, Bailey and Daphné. Chance is my cousin Daniel’s son, so we’ll just call him a cousin.
And here we are in Waterford visiting with my Uncle Greg, Aunt Kera, cousin Daniel and his son Chance. We were glad we could stop by and say hi. We love our family!
It was a tiring trip, but we are so glad we went!
