Lindsey turns 44!

I love my 40s, absolutely love them. What a gift to live them. I’m thankful for the life God has given me and for the people around me who make it so rich. Thank you all for a lovely birthday celebration.

Tonio bought these for me the eve of my birthday. It was seriously the bouquet that keeps on giving.

The colors. The smells. Such a gorgeous bunch of lovely.

Tonio made me breakfast. I mean c’mon. Bacon, eggs, toast, avocado, pineapple. He even peeled the grapefruit for me, guys. He’s a treasure.

Bible verse for the day on my phone. I thought it was a perfect reminder and challenge.

Eating out for lunch with my love.

Churros dessert.

And my outfit for the evening festivities.

Family birthday dinner!

My girl bringing the cake while singing.

Apple tarte and mint and chip ice cream. So yummy.

Monsieur Popsicle.

Daphné and I share the same love for mint and chip ice cream.

Reading cards.

So thankful for my in-laws. Living in the same apartment building is such a blessing! I love you Pierre and Nancy!

Thanks Tata Cricri! I like how Django’s head is popping out of the bag.

The classic glasses.

Facetime with my mama. I love her so much!

Family pile. Daphné is protecting her arm pits, because Papa was messing with her.

This is the same bouquet day 8. Can you believe that? The florist prides himself in only selling local flowers. The difference is seriously night and day. Other bouquets wilt after 3 or 4 days. Now, I do need to say that I’m very diligent to clean the water and trim all the stems daily. I think that helps too.

At church the Sunday after my birthday, everyone sang to Ellie, Gilles, me and Elena. Ellie and I share a birthday, the 21st February, which is super fun. Gilles was born on Valentine’s Day, and Elena is the 23rd.

Fun fact : Gilles turned 55. I turned 44. And Elena turned 33. It’s not everyday something like that happens. So thankful for our church family.

I just love mail!!! Thanks Jérémy!

And the bouquet day 9.

Usually bouquets shrink as flowers die and have to be removed, but this one, holy moly!!! Good job my love. You won big time with this one.

More mail!!! Thanks Craaaaaaaaaaastal and Matt! Love you guys! (If any of you were wondering what our mailbox situation looks like… voilà. We are the top middle box. Send me letters. I love getting them!)

“You have created each of us, O Lord,

to bear your image in unique expression,

reflecting a facet of your glory in a way

that no other person in all of history will,

so that by knowing one another

we might know you better.”
