Cassis to celebrate 15 years!
We were married on Saturday, October 30th, 2010 in the backyard of my parents’ home where I grew it. It was a great and crazy day. And now we get to celebrate it every year, which I look forward to with so much joy!
Tonio made reservations at a hotel in Cassis, near Marseille for 3 nights. Usually, we only leave for 2 nights, but this one was special. We are so thankful for Tonio’s parents who help with the kids while we are away. Thankfully, Daphné was away on her classe verte, so Django was an only child with his Mamie and Papi. He was so happy. First selfie above.
The port is gorgeous.
Happy feet, relaxing.
Just before the sun says good bye for the day.
Lighthouse and my man.
Those red rocks in the distance create a trademark for this area. We drove them back home on our last day.
The view from our hotel balcony.
The room.
Our balcony with our personal Jacuzzi! It was delightful. And that castle on the hill!!!
Walking along one of the “calanques.”
Hiking the calanques in the November in short-sleeves. It was a gorgeous day.
Look at these colors!
So thankful for my husband.
Ta-da! Showing off God’s beauty behind me.
Can’t have too many selfies in such a magnificent place.
Trying to be artsy.
So many sailboats parked.
The castle at night.
Reading my Bible on the chilly morning terrace.
We decided to walk the other direction this day. I love the color of the water!
Cheese.
Here we enjoyed reading and a picnic lunch. The many jellyfish kept us out of the water.
Sushi and Andor, such a good combo. If you haven’t seen the series Andor, I HIGHLY recommend it.
Good morning purples and pinks.
On the drive home, we took the scenic route, and it was so worth it.
Today was much colder than the other days.
You can almost feel the wind through the photo.
I will repeat myself until I die. I’m so thankful that God brought Tonio and I together. Marriage is hard but also so good. It’s worth celebrating. It must be celebrated. So we celebrate! Thanks for “attending” the celebration through the blog.
Love Linz
