Praise the Lord for FRIENDS (and family)!
Can I get an amen?!!! The day after Christmas started a super fun adventure of being with friends and family. Enjoy!
We drove to Turin, Italy (3 ½ hours) to visit our friends Dave and Denae. They are precious to our family, and they are the closest Calvary Chapel to us here in Nice, which is super fun.
A beautiful sunset walk. Lola is roaming around. Remember Lola? You’ll see her soon.
Denae is a definite adopted auntie to our kids. She plays just as hard as them.
Tonio and Dave hanging out in the kitchen. Can you see Lola’s back?
And there she is. The best Great Dane ever. Dave and Denae are so amazing with training her and sticking to it. Daphné is in her happy place.
Wide angle shot of our little living quarters. Thanks again Dave and Denae for your hospitality!
And the next day, look who joined us!!! The Taylor family! We were so excited to see Jordan and Michelle and their girls.
Walking around Turin. It’s a big city but feels really calm.
Daphné and Vivia.
And I love this shot. Thanks Dave for taking it! It’s like a little peek into heaven for me, surrounded by co-laborers for Jesus Christ, spreading His joy and love.
These two. I love them. It’s so precious as a pastor’s wife to have two other amazing pastor’s wives to confide in and just be with. They get it, and I’m so thankful.
I wanted in on the action! Haha! After this, we said good-bye to Dave and Denae and headed back to Nice with the Taylor’s.
Back in Nice, Daphné and Vivia being silly.
And then, an old friend Rain joined us. I’m bummed I didn’t get a picture with his wife Grace when we saw them again. They are so wonderful.
Jordan taught at Calvary Chapel Nice the Sunday after Christmas.
Tonio translated.
I stayed home with a Django, Vivia and Florence. It was so sweet to see the kids watching their papas on live feed from church.
Pierre snapped this of me and Aurelia.
Daphné, Florence and Vivia playing in the apartment garden area.
Nerf wars, look out.
Visiting Antibes.
Walking around Antibes with Jordan and Michelle and their girls.
It was chilly, but so warm in the sun.
My little elves.
Django and Vivia.
Cricri invited us all into her home and put on quite a spread. Thank you Tata Cricri!!!
It’s the season of the “galette des rois” - don’t they make a perfect king and queen?
Michelle and Jordan’s turn =)
Different day. Same house.
We love you our beautiful Cricri!
I think I will print this one for sure!
Same home. Smaller table. We are so blessed to have Cricri in our lives. We will always miss Rob.
A little sunset walk in Antibes that night.
The “Fort Carré” lit up at night like the French flag.
Hanging out with more great friends! Edgar and his kids. We love this family.
And the same evening in Nice, Pierre and Nancy were enjoying the beautiful sunset too. I’m so thankful for my amazing in-laws. They are such a gift from the Lord.
I hope you enjoyed our friends and family! Dave, Denae, Jordan, Michelle, Aurelia, Florence, Vivia, Rain, Grace, Cricri, Edgar, his two kids, Pierre and Nancy. What a fun way to wrap up 2024 and start 2025!
Love a thankful Linz
