Au revoir August
Hello to you, I hope you are doing well today whenever you are reading this. I’m typing this post the 16th of September, so looking back at the end of summer is always bittersweet. We were so thankful for how restful and refreshing our summer felt. It often goes by too fast, but it is nice to be back in a routine.
Enjoy!
Testing out his LEGO boat.
My second time leading the elementary kids group at church. We watched "The Chosen" season 1, episode 3 when Jesus spends times with the kids. The app is so cool that it's available in so many languages. The kids had so many great questions and remarks afterwards.
Goodies from Tata Cricri!
IKEA.
IKEA cafeteria.
Hard to leave this place empty-handed. Aren't my little helpers the cutest?!
Helping mama put together her new IKEA night stand.
Django could read the IKEA instructions better than me. I think it's all these years of LEGO.
Such a great assistant.
And voilà, my new little functional night stand. It's way better than the wicker chair I had for years. Ha.
This was a fun way to keep the kids involved with summer and what was going on in July and August. Django became our official "cross-off-the-day" guy.
It worked so well, I decided to make one for September and October. It only includes "out-of-the-ordinary" activities. Weekly events like school, horses, speech therapy, rock climbing, church... are not included.
My crew heading to summer speech therapy for Django. He is making so much progress in French and English. What a bud! And his big sister is a great cheerleader.
It was hot. Clothes and everything. He was happy!
Daphné's friend Eden came over for a day. They are hilarious together!
Playing with Django's new drone.
Snack time after dress-up time.
We hopped over to Antibes for a morning dip in the pool.
We love you Cricri!
Another birthday celebration.
I like that Cricri mimics his mouth. Ha!
Django is getting better at his selfies.
Hot summer days at home beg for creative dining experiences. The kids made a little fort with couch cushions and laundry racks.
My third time leading the elementary Sunday school class. They unscrambled the verse (in French) : "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and wisdom." -2 Timothy 1:7
The best way to end summer, with her bestie at church. The day after this photo, Daphné started 4th grade, and Lorena started 6th grade.
We are thankful for our family, our home, our church family and friends. God is so good, and we praise Him for His goodness!
Love Linz
