Vacation Hangover
It’s always hard to get back into a normal go to bed at 8pm, wake up at 7am schedule after totally ignoring those rules for two weeks during the vacation. Thankfully, our kids are troopers and so is Tonio. I admit that I’m the one has a rough time to sleep interruptions or changes.
After a week, I’m back to normal-ish. Haha. Enjoy some pictures from our first week back to church and school. Three of us got sick, as you will see.
We came home to a ginormous box from my Aunt Kellee and Uncle Mark. New spring clothes. Django is rocking the hat.
Daphné is about to make a heart with her fingers. I love these two so much.
Django at Sunday school with his little buddy Eliot. I can’t believe he left the hat on.
And then downstairs in the big sanctuary. You can imagine everyone’s reactions to seeing him in this outfit. Pretty cute.
Our little hick, before she lost this tooth the next day at school.
Barb and I often take fashion photos together. We started doing it during the confinement via whatsapp with my mama. Now that we are back together again, we take a picture and send it to my mom. It’s a fun girly thing. Barb is a seamstress and made her sweater. It’s gorgeous!
Monday morning blues. Hard to go to school after vacation.
Papi picked him up to come home and eat, so he could go to speech therapy. I was curled in a ball with a stomach ache. The stomach flu begins.
Here Django also has the stomach flu, but we didn’t realize it until later. It was strange that he allowed Daphné to take him on her knees and that he didn’t touch his snacks. Poor guy.
Sitting with their friend Selmine.
Wednesday Django was feeling a little better, but I was still out of it. I sat while we visited with our friends Edgar, Hector and Béryl. Wednesdays there’s no school.
The famous rock throwing game.
Django and Béryl. I didn’t get a picture of Hector.
Tonio and Daphné went for a swim - it was 14.8C (58F).
Then, Daphné’s turn with the stomach flu. She got it the worst. As I type, she’s still sick. Poor thing.
He’s all better. Papi and Mamie picked him up from school on Friday while I stayed home with our girl. He loves when Papi brings him cheesy crackers snacks. HAHA!
Thanks for reading. Tonio and I leave for Cyprus on Sunday night and leave the kids with Pierre and Nancy for a week. I don’t know if I’ll write a blog before our trip, but until next time, I pray you are able to experience the peaceful and comforting presence of God in your lives. This is something Daphné and I have been thanking God for this week, that He is always with us, even when we are sick and don’t feel good at all.
He calms the chaos.
