Trip to Paris (part 1/4)

We had a great trip up north. Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip to visit Tonio’s aunt and uncle in the Savoie region, which would have bee the first leg of the trip. They were sick and didn’t want to share with us. Thank you guys for your kind consideration. We’re just sad we didn’t get to visit you. Maybe this summer?!

We ended up driving half way to Paris and finding a hotel for the night to break up the driving. Enjoy Day 1 and 2 of our trip.

Ready for an adventure.

Django being silly to pass the time.

Rest stop. Daphné shows her balancing skills.

Tata Cricri and Tonton Robie sent little travel packs for the kids to open in the car.

They were stoked.

Checking into our hotel in a town called Mâcon.

We had a really great room, and it had a bathtub to bathe our traveling troopers.

Hotel breakfasts are my favorite. Daphné loved the Nutella. Django loved the homemade madeleines, and me and Tonio enjoyed it all.

Django jamming in his jammies.

We drove by so many yellow fields like this. Apparently, it’s canola, where we get canola oil from or colza in French.

We made it to Paris! Daphné with her little one-year-old cousin Nils.

Noé and Django started playing immediately. They are just 6 months apart.

Me trying to get a picture with the boys. Ha. Nice try.

Nils was cool with these selfies.

I love this one! How cute is that mug?

So, that was day 1 and 2 of the trip (15 and 16 of April, 2022). We are so thankful for our family, Sebastien, Maïna, Noé and Nils. And we are thankful the Lord answered our prayers for safe travels.

Stay tuned for more pictures from the trip. I have over 100, so I thought I would break it up into smaller blog posts.

Love Linz
