February 1st we celebrated Papi’s birthday!!!

These tiny grocery carts makes shopping with small humans much more agreeable.

Django has such a sweet little face. I can’t remember what number haircut this is, but he’s had quite a few.

Meet my box buddy.

Chilling at the park.

Rock jumping at the sea.

Church friends, Jessalyn and Lorena.

Elodie, Xavier and Hadrien came over for lunch.

During the 2-week February school vacation, we put Daphné in a week-long swim class. Django got to come along to swim a couple of the days with mama (then Mamie) in the small pool. I had a fever in the above picture and only realized it when I got home. I wondered why I was so cold in the pool.

It was worth the shivers and feeling terrible to get these great shots.

I just love her and her love to swim.

For the first week of the school vacation, Tonio and Pierre drove to Austria for a conference. They picked up our friend Dave in Italy.

They made it safely after 8-9 hours of driving.

More swim fun. She got bumped up to the middle level class on the second day.

Painting trash from the recycle bin is always so much fun.

She’s rocking the head band and princess coat.

Here’s the group from the Austria conference. Isn’t that lake and mountain beautiful?! Can you find Tonio and Pierre? [Hint : they are both in the front row, but not next to each other.]

The last 3 days, Daphné got bumped up to the top level class. We are so proud of our little fishy.

No more flotation devices. Weeeeee!

Tonio got to lead worship one night at the Austria conference.

Our wonderful friends blessed the kids with these cute crafts. Daphné goofs off with the stickers.

Papa is back from Austria and gets right to work helping the kids with their craft construction.

Our friend Wayne Taylor came to visit for a few days after they were in Austria.

Tonio blessed me by giving me a little break and taking the kids out then doing lunch with them at church.

A day in town with mama often involves churros.

Haircut for our big girl.

He cut a lot, but in the end her hair is so much healthier. Doesn’t she look like royalty?!

She gives it a thumbs up.

It’s so hard to wake him up when he looks like a little heavenly cherub.

Ellie and I share a birthday, so every Sunday near the 21st of February, we blow out candles together. But have you ever tried to blow out candles with a mask on?! Hahaha!!! Impossible. We had Daphné come in to help.

On my actual birthday, my amazing husband made me breakfast, took me into town, took me to lunch and cherished me. I love him and felt so loved this day.

On my birthday, Django had speech therapy, so after we enjoyed the sea for a bit before picking up Daphné from school.

And we had birthday dinner with Pierre and Nancy at their place. So fun!

I asked for cookies and mint and chip ice cream, and it was delicious - they even added donuts. SO GOOD!!! 41 years-old and thankful.

We got some new paints, and Django had a blast.

Daphné was a great dish washer.

Three are by Daphné. One is by Django.

Papi got this fun rock game going at the beach. I love the kids’ intense faces.

Coach Papi.

OH. MY. HEART.

We’ve been trying to have people over after church more often. Here is Léo, Jessica, Pau and Elisabeth. We are thankful to have a home so close to church. A blessing in so many ways.

It’s always easy for me to see all the good stuff in retrospect. I’m trying to be better about living the good stuff in the moment. January and February were harder months for me personally. As I type, it’s the middle of March, and it’s definitley been a lot easier this month. I’m thankful, but I also want to be able to thrive and be ok when it’s not easy.

This morning I read this verse about Jesus when he was probably in his teen years into his 20s:

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” -Luke 2:52

I want to continually be growing in wisdom and in favor with God, just like Jesus did while on this planet. I do hope you are able to sense God working in my life and heart. This blog is kind of an overflow of what God does in my heart. Thanks for listening.

Love Linz
