Back in Agoura
After so much fun in Oxnard as a family, it was nice to get back to our home base at my parents’ home in Agoura Hills. I am so very thankful to be here.
The swing is definitely her thing!
Watermelon at the park.
Tractor man.
Pulling little bro in the wagon at the park near Grandma and Grandpa’s house.
Rowyn walking Ruby. Daphné walking Sapphire.
Daphné riding Dreamer with instructor Tony.
I got to drive the new golf cart at the horse ranch, and I had some beautiful passengers.
Grandpa Tim loves washing cars, and even more than that, he loves getting the grandkids to help him.
Django all wet after playing with the car washing sponge.
These kids are such a blessing to us and everyone around them. Lord Jesus, fill us with wisdom in raising them.
Auntie Kellee took all of us girlies out to a French bakery for breakfast before getting our nails done : Daphné, Rowyn, AJ (my cousin Wyndi’s daughter), Wyndi (my cousin), Auntie Kellee (Wyndi’s mama), me and lots of yummy treats.
Oink oink oink!
Duck and turtle pond.
Pedicures and manicures - oh là là!
The girls holding up how old they are : 6-7-6.
Ta-da! Thanks so much Auntie Kellee!!!
I got to surf County Line with my Daddy! I caught two super fun lefts and remembered that I really am a surfer. It’s just been a while. It was so fun!
Surfed with my cousin Caden, Uncle Dave and Daddy.
Auntie Chelsey giving Daphné a lesson on Remington, the horse that’s lives at my parents’ house.
Riding double with cousin Rowyn.
So fun to go on a mini trail ride / walk with my sissy pants and our girlies.
4th of July church baptism after church. Django and Daphné were having a blast!
4th of July donut. YUM! If you remember from our family survey blog post, donuts were on the list of foods I was looking forward to eating while in the states. My ultimate favorite so far is the glazed old fashioned donut from YUM YUM Donuts in Agoura Hills. So good!
Daphné and Rowyn watching fireworks whilst wearing glow sticks.
This girl is a natural on a boogie board.
Waiting for the white water with cousin Rowyn.
Django is still learning to love the beach. Until then, he just chills in the chair or builds sand castles. I bet he’ll be the best surfer of all of us one of these days.
The beach gang with Uncle Mark and Aunt Kellee.
I love these colors! Django just got sand in his eyes (poor bud). Django, me, Daphné, AJ, Rowyn, Rowdy, Wyndi, Rocky and Auntie Chelsey.
The bigger cousins: Daphné, AJ, Rowyn and Rowdy.
Playing with a bucket and water can cure the blues in any desert heat.
The boy who loves to be in small spaces and nooks and crannies.
I hope you enjoyed! More to come. And a friend of mine gifted me with a beautiful book called, “ Every Moment Holy: Volume 1” by Douglas Kaine McKelvey (thanks so much Michelle!!!). It is packed with incredible scripture and prayers. I really enjoyed this small section called A Liturgy for Arriving at the Ocean:
“In this blue space of sea and sand,
Of seething surf and soothing sound,
Center anew our restless hearts, O Lord,
That we might embrace the wonder of the created,
That we might be contented in the finitude that
Moves us to rightful awe at Your awesomeness,
To rightful humily at Your power,
And to a rightful delight in Your benevolent affections.”
