Some April Showers of Blessings

My blogging frequency is not as much as I’d like, so I give you a large dose of April. It was a very difficult month for me. The Lord sustained me. He has given me and incredible husband who helped a bunch. I did not thrive this April, but I did survive. Sometimes that’s all we can do. I know I’m a good mom, even though I don’t always feel like it. I know the kids had a blast for the 3 weeks at home, which is proof that something was going right.

I clung to this verse in Isaiah 40:29-31, which I will include at the end of this post.

Nancy gave these seeds to Daphné, and it’s been fun to watch the “LOVE” grow, especially since Mamie Nancy has been gone for a few weeks in Paris.

While Papi was still here, before heading up to Paris, he had the kids down to play a few times. Django didn’t have any fun. ;)

These are some of the little bundles of blessing at church. A few are missing. It’s so cool to see the kids grow and new ones come. We probably have about 20 kids ranging from babies to high school.

A very warm spring day. Daphné made a friend.

Since the kids were home for 3 weeks, I had to do something for my sanity. My friend Caroline came over 4 afternoons, so I went into town to do errands and get my hair cut.

Here I am with my new do and my very tired face.

My Aunt Kellee and Uncle Mark are amazing and send us boxes full of love and hugs [and toys and girl scout cookies and legit tortillas and clothes, etc…]. Thank you guys!!!

Daphné was in desperate need of a hair cut. The last one was me trying to cut a straight line across back when we were confined to our houses for 55 days. I had to pay someone to make it straight. Haha!

Went for a run. My goal is 30 times in 2021. I’ve gone 9 times. I think I can make it. I’m so thankful my knees have been cooperating. Nothing like running right next to the water.

But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. -Isaiah 40:29-31
